Introduction of The Structure of POS Cash Register

1) Main board---central data processing unit
2) Memory --- store information, data, programs
3) Keyboard---used to input various sales data
4) Printer --- used to print sales invoices and management stubs
5) Display --- used to facilitate man-machine dialogue between cashiers and customers
6) Cash box---used to store cash received
7) External device interface---used to connect various external devices
With the development of modern technology, the accessories of POS cash registers are gradually increasing, and the common ones are as follows.
1) Printer --- In addition to the built-in printer, the POS cash register can also be connected to an external printer (such as kitchen printers and receipt printers used in the catering industry.)
2) Barcode reader---also known as barcode scanner, is a barcode reading device, which can be divided into four types from the appearance: pen type, handheld type, desktop type, card type, and can be divided into two types according to the light source: Infrared light and lasers.
3) Magnetic card reader --- it is a device for reading or writing magnetic recording signals. Read the information recorded by the credit card into the cash register. It has many types and models, and is divided into three types: single track, double track, and triple track in terms of the number of tracks.
4) Electronic scale --- When weighing and measuring goods on site, the electronic scale will transmit the weight and data to the cash register.
5) Modem---that is, MODEM is to transmit the data of the cash register to the computer through the telephone line.
6) Backup power supply---that is, the UPS is used to supply power directly to the cash register from the battery after a power failure.
7) Communication networking interface---its hardware is composed of a group of chips or cards and physical ports, and its software is composed of a group of programs. There are mainly communication interfaces between cash registers and 485 interface cards connecting cash registers and computers.
